- This is one of our most popular leech products. Although we are not sure why hirudotherapy patients and leech therapy clinics purchase this product, it is highly sought after. Babies are sometimes as thin as needles and have recently emerged from their mother's cocoon. Most baby leeches cannot pierce human skin on their own. If you plan to feed them until they grow up to be cosmetic or small leeches, you must allow a larger leech to take the first bite, after which the babies can attach and feed on the same bite. Baby leeches can be kept in cool water and cared for as pets without feeding them for a while until they grow a little bigger and are ready to bite human skin. However, by keeping them without feeding them, you risk losing a small percentage of them. We recommend that you only buy baby leeches if you feel confident that you know how to care for these little babies, as they may not be able to bite at first.
When your order arrives, you should immediately transfer the leeches to a jar of cold water. You can also use rain or tap water.
If there is a problem with your order, please send us a picture on the day of delivery and we will compensate you for the damage.
